Everything you need to know about the Solex
Yes, because the Solex is considered a moped, wearing a helmet is mandatory. You'll receive one free of charge, including a hairnet, and it will be regularly cleaned with an antibacterial steam cleaner.
Yes, to ride a Solex, you need a category A, B, or AM driver's license. Don't have a license? No problem, we offer the E-fatbike as an alternative. It's just as fast as a Solex, so it's easy to combine.
The minimum age for riding a Solex is 16. For those under 16, we offer the e-fatbike as an alternative. E-fatbikes easily keep up with E-chopperin terms of speed and are therefore a good combination.
The maximum speed is 25 km/h.
The rate for renting a Solex is €45 for an afternoon and €59.50 for a whole day.
The Solex contains enough fuel to cover a route of 50 km.

What is a Solex?
A Solex is similar to an e-bike. You still have to pedal with a Solex, but the pedal assistance comes from a gasoline-powered engine. The first Solex was sold in the Netherlands in 1948. So, the Solex offers an authentic way to travel through Zeeland. Because the Solex is a moped, wearing a helmet is mandatory. The same alcohol regulations apply to Solex riding as to driving a car.
